Wild Chimpanzees are easily seen in Kibale National Park and Silver Back Gorilla are spotted in Bwindi National Park of where photographic opportunities are endless.

GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI FOREST

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas. This forest involves a remarkable trek down to find the families of Gorillas, allowing you to spend an hour with the gorillas, learning about their ways of living, and becoming part of the troop. This is definitely a highlight of visiting Uganda.

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

This National Park holds a wide range of landscapes such as forest, mountain craters, and open plains bringing a wide variety of wildlife within. Here Forest Elephants and Savana Elephants roam the national park along with Hippo, Buffalo Ugandan Cob, and Topi. In the Ishasha section of the park, the famous tree dwelling Lions can be found, bringing you great photo opportunities.

CHIMPANZEE TREKKING KIBALE

Kibale National Park is one of the top primate destination in the world, that must be visited. This national park brings you the opportunity to photograph wild Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Here you can find many other species of primates such as the Gray Cheeked Mangabey, Black and White Colobus Monkey, Olive Baboon, Red Tailed Monkey and the L’Hoest’s Monkey to name a few. Forest Elephants can also be seen roaming the forest.

LAKE MBORO NATIONAL PARK

Lake Mburo National Park is a perfect stop off on your way to Bwindi. This park holds some scenic areas where Lion, Leopard, Giraffe, Zebra and much more can be found. The land is highly marshy bringing you great bird life for those who enjoy birding. Spend a few days in Lake Mboro National Park to get those African wildlife photographs you desire.

MABAMBA SWAMP

When it comes down to bird photography, Mabamba Swamp located just outside of Entebbe is home of the famous Shoebill Stork. With the many species of birds found in this swamp, a bird photographer will be in awe of this immense birdlife.  You will take a boat to get into the depths of this swamp where many species of river birds such as the Lesser Jacana, Papyrus Gonolek, Orange Weaver, Black Egret, Black Crake, Goliath Heron, many King fishers and much more will be awaiting your camera.
