When to visit Botswana

Best Time to Visit

Our experts have designed their availability to visit Botswana for the time of July to October. This is the prime of the dry season where photography game viewing is at its best. During the time of April and May, the weather during the day is pleasant where the night starts to get slightly cooler. June to August holds much colder nights and the land is much dryer where game viewing is better. The time of September to October, temperatures rise again and dries the land even more making waterholes better for viewing.

Chobe holds great game viewing during the dry season in April and May where the animals are congregated around the rivers as water is scarce

During the dry season, the land becomes more accessible and game viewing is better as the vegetation is more open

The skies are clear, rain is rare, and there are fewer mosquitoes

The Delta is flooded from June-October making great photo opportunities

Even though most tourists visit during the Dry season, the parks still feel uncrowded, except for the bustling Chobe riverfront area
