This 7-day wildlife photography tour is located in one of the most biodiverse locations on the planet. Here in the lowlands of the Peruvian Amazon, this wildlife photography tour will bring you some fascinating wonders that this planet has to offer. Our award-winning photographers will take you on a journey into the vast rainforest where you will be spending seven days/six nights. Here you will have the opportunity to photograph and learn about the many animals of the forest such as the Black Spider Monkeys of the tree tops, the clumsy bold Tapir, and the majestic Jaguar that lurks the forest floor. Even the variety of frogs that vary in colour are awaiting your presence as you walk the rainforest floor.
Along with many wildlife photographic opportunities, you will have the time to learn and get tips from our wildlife photographic guides that will be with you through this journey.

We will be staying at a quaint eco-lodge in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. The lodge is surrounded by fruit trees and native flowers, which are perfect for attracting a great amount of colourful butterflies and birds, meaning there is plenty of wildlife to admire from your front porch. This luxurious rainforest lodge will provide a beautiful display of traditional Peruvian cuisine each day. The bedrooms are thatched bungalows on raised wooden platforms, each with a private ensuite and a relaxing front porch to enjoy the environment from your front door. This is a great, comfortable base in a truly stunning setting!

FULL ITINERARY
DAYS 1:
This tour will start bright and early at 8am to get the most out of the tour as possible. We will start with a 3-hour journey upriver with many photographic opportunities followed by your arrival at the jungle lodge. We will get settled and head out for a short walk before lunch in search to photograph life in the trees. After lunch we will trek to photograph the wonders of the rainforest. A traditional three-course Peruvian dinner will be provided each night, followed by an optional night walk to experience the nocturnal wildlife of this biodiverse ecosystem.
DAYS 2-6:
These days will be spent walking through this vast rainforest among the many photographic opportunities of birds, mammals, reptiles and primates. With our award-winning wildlife photographers, you will be led through to capture images and create a showcase of images of your own.
One morning will start with a sunrise cruise down the Tambopata River to a nearby oxbow lake for opportunity to photograph the Giant River Otters in their natural habitat along with the Black Caiman and the numerous river birds that surrounds the area. We will return for lunch and venture out into the forest after lunch in search of photographic opportunities of both fauna and flora.
A canopy tower is offered for your leisure to view and get beautiful images above the canopy to capture a stunning landscape view of this pristine rainforest and its wildlife.
We will also spend many hours at the Macaw Claylick where you will have the opportunity to obtain great images of many species of Parrots feeding on the clay in their huge numbers to obtain their salt for their diet.
After fine dining each evening accompanied with the sounds of the rainforest life, an optional night walk will be offered to create your portfolio of flash photography in this nocturnal world of colour. Here, there is opportunity to see the numerous species of yellow and greens frogs that will light up your camera mood!
Night boat rides are offered for Caiman searching on the Tambopata River that is always an exciting experience for your trip with us!
DAY 7:
After an early breakfast, you will be taken on a three-hour boat journey down river, back towards Puerto Maldonado. There are great chances of spotting wildlife and enjoying some last wildlife photography. Lunch will be provided by us at our favourite location in town. Airport/hotel transportation will be provided.
